SOCOSURF A1858 20L PLAST PAIL

DEOXIDIZER SOCOSURF A 1858 20L/5,3GAL PLAST PAIL is a REACh compliant, Cr(VI) and fluoride free aluminium surface treatment. It etches, de-smuts and deoxidizes aluminium and its alloys after alkaline treatment, providing a stable etch rate and consistent performance even as the bath ages.

Applications & Features

• Especially suited for use prior to chromic conversion or solgel treatment such as SOCOGEL, anodising, penetrant inspection, chemical milling, bonding and welding operations.
• SOCOSURF A1858 can be used alone when subsequent treatments are not critical.
• Free from hexavalent chromium and fluoride ions, making product handling and waste treatment easier and lower cost.
• Complies with current environmental and safety requirements.
• The absence of fluoride provides a homogeneous attack on alloys and contributes to bath stability and consistent performance.

Bath Components

SOCOSURF A1858 is the acid concentrated part used for setting up the etching deoxidizing bath. SOCOSURF A1806 is the part essential to give all its characteristics to the treatment bath.

Bath active components can be readjusted by adding the products used for the initial setting up or by adding SOCOSURF A1850 or SOCOMUL TA to lengthen bath life and maintain performance. SOCOSURF A1850 is an acid additive, while SOCOMUL TA is an additive used to readjust the bath surface tension.
